Armani – 16 year old certified as MWDBE Couture Fashion Designer and honor roll student at Connections Academy. I have been designing since the age of 6. I have some designs that are as simple as everyday wear whereas, others would be considered attire fit for events such as the Presidents Ball or the Red Carpet. I attend Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. I also am an honorary cheerleader for the North Shore Stallions. In my spare time when I am not designing new outfits I write short stories, poetry, & songs. I like to make dances up while listening to R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz and various other Genres. I plan to expand the business to a storefront by the time I am 16. In the future I want to travel to the places known for fashion. I want to be included in as one of the elite fashion designers. Not only have I held fashion shows I have also participated in various fashion shows as well as Pittsburgh Fashion Week. I have also participated in charity shows partnering with Lupus foundations and the Pittsburgh’s Aids Task force. I have been featured in several local publications about my fashions and ability. I was one of nine youths recognized as a Youthpreneur in 2012 and again in 2013. Our local Councilman Bill Peduto, now Mayor of Pittsburgh declared September 21st Pittsburgh Youthpreneur Day. While attending San Pedro High I plan to continue to grow as a designer and grow our business. I have several charitable dreams. At the top of my list I want to open up a homeless shelter and provide a safe place for the homeless to get warm, clean and fed. Secondly, I plan to make annual monetary donation to local schools to help with the purchase of books, uniforms, lunches, field trips, and school supplies. And lastly, I want to hold a yearly fashion show with the proceeds to go a local charity or non-profit organization. After San Pedro High I would like to go to International Fashion Academy of Paris (IFA) or California College of the Arts.
